I know that most pagans in the northern hemisphere celebrate
Beltane on May 1 while many in the southern hemisphere
celebrate Samhain then.

So does anyone (pagan or not) Down Under celebrate
Hallowe’en (Samhain Eve) on the evening/night of April 30?

Of course here in Canada April 30 is tax deadline. :-)

It was an a result of Newfoundland spending a lot in lives and
money to support the UK in the First World War.

Also, there was a conspiracy in which the UK gave Newfoundland
to Canada in 1949, when perhaps joining the USA should have
been on that second ballot. The conspiracy is depicted (partially

Roughly that time of year in Aus as well .... if you get your Tax Return
done by an Accountant. (Might actually be 15th/16th April or thereabouts!)

However, if you define it as halfway between the equinox and
the solstice, it is exactly 1158 UTC May 5, 2024, not May 1.
