Apparently, it's some kind of app written by Consumer Reports which appears
to be aimed at helping people (California residents?) discover what PII
(personally-identifiable-information) companies have collected on them, with
a view to minimizing the long-term collection of such data.

Sounds like a great idea -- wish more jurisdictions would follow suit.
