Aktie can either use an external I2P router or a built-in I2P router.

The default config is to use the build-in router.

If you want to use an external router (can be localhost or somewhere on your/the network) you can configure this in the Aktie GUI:

1. File -> I2P Options

2. Check the box 'Only use External Router'

3. Fill in the hostname or host ip address as well as the router's I2CP port which commly is 7654.

Note: The I2CP interface might first need to be enabled on the I2P router:

I2P INTERNALS -> I2CP

If it is an external router, I2CP of course needs to listen on a different address but 127.0.0.1
