The Post (35 cents) told us that reporter David Wecker in New York, covering the American International Toy Fair. Night two of the Calgary WInter Olympics on Channel 12, with the US playing Czechoslovakia in hockey. Live. In theaters, Justine Bateman (and a little-known Julia Roberts) were in a movie called Satisfaction. (I remember NBC showing this, with Roberts as star, and it was retitled Girls of Summer.) In the Post comics, Calvin and Hobbes had been transmogrified - Calvin into a owl and Hobbes into a monster. Calvin said that he wanted to be a kid again and Hobbes back as a tiger. Calvin used the transmogrifying gun to make Hobbes normal. "Now, that's better," Hobbes told Calvin. "Now do me," Calvin responded. Hobbes tried to change Calvin, but failed. "What's wrong? I'm not transmogrifying!" Hobbes responded, "Boy, I'm glad we did me first."

Get five Arby's Melts for $4. In the Post comcs, evil HR director Catbert summoned "the demons of darkness" to stop employees from taking too much time off. The demon advised Catbert to "eliminate sick days. Make them use vacation days when they're ill. Call it a time bank.'" Catbert then told the demon, "It's playful, it's cruel....I love it."

On the last few days of Usenet/Google Groups the recycled FC strip for the next 2 weeks is recycling the Billy art from Feb. 1992 regarding Dad Keane making a new comic strip/cartoon drawing studio.

Today's recycled FC is from January 27, 1992, when it was in...you know.

In the Post comics, Calvin asked Susie what the teacher was handing out In a rerun. "Our report cards," Susie replied. "Our report cards?" Calvin wanted to know. "You know, our grades," Susie responded. "Grades? We're being graded?" Calvin then asked. Susie responded, "Of course, dummy. What did you think?" Calvin then said, Don't we even get any practice semesters?"
