That's strange, as Express VPN specifically advertise that their
service works with the BBC iPlayer...

Maybe you should contact their support department.

No need, read what was online. Figured out what step I forgot to do.
Now new problem...have to have an account tied to a UK post code. Hard
to get one of those here.

Oh they make you sign into your account now? The postcode is just so the
live streams carry the “right” local programming I think. You can use any
valid random one.

HD7 5UZ covers addresses on five different streets somewhere in England,
which I think is the least precise. (UK postcodes can cover from 1 to 100
properties - average is just 15 or so).

Don’t use SW1A 1AA as that is Buckingham Palace.

Other than that just use a .uk or non geographical email address (but one
you have access to as you’ll likely need to validate).

And promise you have a TV licence when they ask.

They will have since the Eurovision Song Contest final is immediately
after it. Let's see which does better.

Not with the ESC. The question is how many viewers will part 1 get
compared with part 2. Then we can work out what they're really tuning in
for.

Why are the BBC showing two parts on the same day anyway? Do they think
the first episode is not good enough to draw viewers in?

Don't expect anyone to watch it on Disney+. The garbage that masqueraded
as a Christmas special was a total flop, and parents will not allow
their children to watch anything related to Disney because it's being
run by a bunch of perverts that want to use entertainment to sexually
groom children.

Just look at the pictures of that pervert Ncuti Gatwa in the papers with
him dressed up as woman in order to sexually attract men. No decent
parent will let their children watch this show and don't expect anyone
to be talking about it in the school playground for fear of being
socially excluded as a complete weirdo.

So since she won't be watching it with you because of the time, she
won't be watching it at all because you've already seen it. I bet the
ratings will probably count you twice for each episode, so they'll
probably need correcting down.

Had to watch Reacher, Gen V, and The Wheel of Woke at either midnight or
1 am on Amazon on a Thursday or Friday so this will make no difference
and will give me a chance to write my review without missing the
Eurovision Song Contest.

Wait a moment. The Eurovision final is on at 8pm and that's live so
can't be moved. How can 2 episodes of Doctor Who start showing at 7pm
unless they're only 25 to 30 minutes long. What's going on?

Except that on iPlayer the video quality is always crap and stuttery
compared to Amazon. It's not even 1080p. And why isn't Doctor Who
available in 4K?

They got complaints when they were dropping woke Star Wars garbage at
midnight California time and no one was watching it. Now all the
complaints are going to the BBC for the same reason. People will skip
through it on iPlayer at midnight and figure out it's woke crap so they
won't bother to watch it the following evening.

Star Trek: Picard had to wait until the following day as the dropped it
at 8am UK time, so the torrenters got to watch it before people like me
who paid for it.

YouTube is 4K and Edge and Chrome can enhance lower resolution content
to HD, but the BBC won't let them do that with any of the low quality
crap on iPlayer. It's hardly even 720p and the gamma correction is
totally off and makes everything looks washed out.

Well, I'm going to have a midnight Doctor Who watching party
with my son for Season One... if interested enough we/him/me
might watch the episode again when it's broadcast later on that
day.

We are looking forward to the double episode season launch in
May especially... new Doctor Who... in the night! It'll almost
be like when we did the Game of Thrones new episode thing at
2am. That was great fun. (Until the last season!) Trust me,
midnight Doctor Who watching parties are gonna become a 'thing'!

Whether it turns out to be "woke crap" is another issue
altogether...

The Eurovision Song Contest won't have people who have already
watched it seventeen hours before on the BBC iPlayer though,
will it?

If the BBC really cared as much about traditional TV ratings as
you seem to think they do, they wouldn't be streaming two
episodes of one of their prime shows back-to-back on their
streaming platform at midnight!

Okay, here's Blueshirt's challenge to you for Season One...

Try and write a review without using the following words...
woke... garbage... sexual... grooming...

If you own a Thesaurus you should be fine!

I think you'll find the 2023 Doctor Who specials were in UHD on
the iPlayer... well, the BBC certainly announced they would be
anyway.

I don't know about Season One obviously.

To some people every move that the BBC or Disney make is a bad
move... Doctor Who fans HATE change of any sort!

Easy enough. I use a UK address, I just don't live there!

At the moment as it's not all tied in to one database any proper
UK postcode works for registration... you will need to use a
real e-mail address though.

BT11 8FJ / BT12 6FR / CF23 5YB

Are all proper postcodes used by people I know in the UK...

If I'd have known how poor ST:Picard would be I'd have made it
wait too... S1 & S2 especially... S3 was quite good though.

The BBC have not said that Doctor Who will start at 7pm!

At a guess I'd say the episodes will be around 50 minutes each
and so Doctor Who will probably start on BBC1 around 6:20pm.

(If they're 45 mins each, 6:30pm, etc...)
