It is only a fan theory... at the moment anyway.

Maestro -> Master could just as easily be an RTD red herring. He
does love teasing the fans so I'm sure he knew what he was doing
by mentioning the character's name in an interview!

Either way, we'll find out in four weeks time...

On this server yes... I'm currently adjusting a few things since
I swapped XS News for Eweka as my main Usenet service. In fact
with the Google Groups input gone from Usenet I'm going to run
all of my nntp feeds from Eweka with no filters at all at all...
a first for many a year!

But how does retconning something from the past of a TV show
make people want to go out and buy more Doctor Who merchandise?
You either like it and want to buy it, or you don't.

If you don't like the 13th Doctor then you don't buy 13th Doctor
merchandise. Sure I can understand that. But not liking the 13th
Doctor and refusing to buy 4th Doctor or 10th Doctor merch
(etc.) doesn't make any sense.
