Perhaps this will atone...

"When you ride in to the night without a trace behind,
Run your claw along my gut one last time.
I turn to face an empty space where once you used to lie,
And look for a spark that lights the night
Through a teardrop in my eye.
Ride on, see you, I could never go with you
No matter how I wanted to."

now that brings a tear to Ash's eye

You run with a rough crowd, Ash. Are you dating Cat Woman again? She's an alley cat who tries to put her claws into real men and make them want more.. "More, more more." Ride on and pass on the left.

COMMENT:
Nicely done. He intones the names of Odinn straight from the Edda of Snorri Sturlason. I think he's using the original in the Old Norse.
From an English translation:
"Odin is called Alfather, for he is the father of all the gods; he is also called Valfather, for all 81 who fall in fight are his chosen sons. For them he prepares Valhal and Vingolf, where they are called einherjes (heroes). He is also called Hangagod, Haptagod, Farmagod; and he gave himself still more names when he came to King Geirrod:
Grim is my name,
And Ganglare,
Herjan, Hjalmbore,
Thek, Thride,
Thud, Ud,
Helblinde, Har,
Sad, Svipal,
Sangetal,
Herteit, Hnikar,
Bileyg, Baleyg,
Bolverk, Fjolner,

Svidur, Svidrir,
Jalk, Kjalar, Vidur,

ANOTHER BONUS!!!

comment: "1270 A.D. was a bad year to be in Tunisia, nobody won"

Sounds like a comment form someone we all know :P

Very good, Ash, and we see you leading the charge. Who is the squinty fellow in the longboat?

We laughed at that one, although if we had been there and laughed in the guy's face, we would have been raped and pillaged.

The comments are funny!

For them he prepares Valhal and Vingolf, where they are called einherjes (heroes). He is also called Hangagod, Haptagod, Farmagod; and he gave himself still more names when he came to King Geirrod:

"Farmagod" is now "Big Pharma God."

Fascinating, and if we took a time machine back there, knowing modern French, we would not understand them, nor they us. (George Dance would not have Google Translate to rely on.)

Is there a good year to be in Tunisia? (Travel warnings, probably even in 1270).

We are believers! He sounds like Robert Plant (and can hit the notes). "The Immigrant Song" must be covered a lot, in many different styles.

:D Surprising, LZ doesn't get as many covers done like other bands-- I think it has some to do with rights. I saw an article commenting on the surprise that LZ let Marvel use Immigrant Song for the Thor movie. I get the impression that LZ is picky about covers.
One of the few covers of the song for the longest time

this not so serious cover will make you laugh tho

That was the mood I hoping for, for my application of it.
Yes. Funny thing, despite being a metal head, I use modern classic work to go along with my work. For my last digital (not ebook), I used classical pieces from a gentleman in Italy offering movie score like pieces for small press projects.

They usually have elaborate arrangements and are not for the one-drum, one-chord bands.

It was like Godzilla was about to appear.

That's very generous of him. We assume that they have lots of chords and more than one drum?
