it should be noted when i said BBQ bones i meant rawhide bones, real bones are dangerous they can splinter sharply and get swallowed then puncture your dog's esophagus

rawhide are safe, but you have to watch them, and when they are nearing the end and the remaining pieces are getting smaller, small to the point of they could possibly choke, then you hold them for your pet, while s/he continues to chew into bite size pieces and then they can eat them.

i noticed a proliferation of no hide chews, i have no idea what that's about, the breeder told me no real bones, rawhide are fine.

custard (gold-rush lady cuthbert) chewed them all the time, we never had a problem. she loved them no end. :-)
