There have been no posts here from anyone at the con. I can think
of two explanations:

* Extremely few non-Chinese are at the con, and none of those few are
rasff regulars.

* Usenet and VPNs are blocked by the "Great Firewall of China."

There have been a few indirect reports about the con on file770.com.
From what file770 says, apparently what little livestreaming there
is, including that of the upcoming Hugo award ceremony, is is only
viewable on Chinese websites or apps.

I didn't necessarily mean here. I'm seeing the File 770 articles,
but I was wondering if there were others on people's blogs that
I didn't know about.

Some people are probably staying off the Internet voluntarily during
their stay, to avoid risks of malware or privacy invasion.

Fair enough; I hadn't thought of that. Most of the comments (and all the
negative ones) I've seen are from people outside China trying to access
the virtual con.
