Here's the first look trailer at the second
Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Special, Wild Blue Yonder

The BBC has premiered the first look trailer for Wild Blue Yonder,
the second in a trilogy of 60th anniversary Doctor Who episodes.
And we don't have long at all to wait before we enjoy this second
adventure for the Fourteenth Doctor: it airs next Saturday
(2nd December 2023) on BBC1 and Disney+!

The trailer, featuring David Tennant and Catherine Tate as the
Doctor and Donna Noble respectively, debuted not after The Star
Beast as you might expect, but on BBC3 after the accompanying
behind-the-scenes show, Doctor Who Unleashed - which is still a
neat way to introduce a new episode for fans.

So check it out, and beware: this looks like it's fashioned as a
horror story!

Here's the synopsis:
The TARDIS takes the Doctor and Donna to the furthest
edge of adventure. To escape, they must face the most
desperate fight of their lives, with the fate of the
universe at stake.

The episode follows on from The Star Beast, catapulting Donna away
from her family and into... somewhere else. Mind you, it's all her
fault: she dropped a cup of coffee over the TARDIS console,
prompting it to blow up quite spectacularly, at a point where she
was instead supposed to visit her 'gramps,' Wilfred Mott (Bernard
Cribbins).

It does imply that these three stories, concluding in The Giggle,
all follow on from each other, meaning there might not be much
space for expanded universe adventures for the pair in other
media. Then again, clever writers have found ways to expand the
stories of Doctors and companions even when there's no real
opportunities on TV, so never say never.

Wild Blue Yonder airs at 6.30pm on Saturday 2nd December 2023 on
BBC1 and Disney+, followed by the making-of programme on BBC3.

Well, I was gunna suggest it was hardly worthwhile watching the clip
cause, after about 15 Secs, it switches to the 'Sign up now for access
to other clips' type of stuff ..... but, then, it went on to show The
Doctor and Donna going into the much more expansive than usual TARDIS
with DoctorDavid running up and down and in and out of all the new walkways.

Then the show continues with 'Steven and Vicki see The First Doctor
again - Tales of The Tardis'.

I might have to be satisfied with these things for a while. ;-(

No one cares. It's just the fake 14th Doctor talking to Donna (probably
fake as well) in close up and nothing much else happening. You don't get
to see anything.

I'm told "Reacher" on Prime Video is quite good... "007 Road to a
Million" looks interesting too.

bothered about what's on BBC1 at 18:30
