Young Jessie - Hit, Git And Split [Modern 1002] - Sep 1956
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2W_YWsQ2qU

cut in New York on 20 August 1956

RYM: The exceptional "Hit, Git and Split" by Young Jessie is a very up
tempo, rocking rhythm & blues number with stinging guitar runs from
Mickey Baker and riffing saxophone from Sam "The Man" Taylor, powerful
rhythmic drumming driving the momentum along, with a fine fast,
tinkling piano break, Jessie supplying a dynamic vocal as he declares
his intention of leaving where he is and coming back to his woman.

Does anyone know, please, who is the very impressive piano player on
"Hit, Git And Split".

Obediah Jessie was a Los Angeles high-school classmate of Richard
"Louie Louie" Berry. The two put together the Flairs and debuted on
the Bihari Brothers' Flair label in 1953 with "She Wants to Rock."

Obediah Jessie produced some of the wildest R&B of the 50s, kicking
off his solo career in 1954 with a crazed cover of "I Smell A Rat",
penned by Leiber and Stoller for Big Mama Thornton, that outdoes the
original.
