Frederick Marvin came to my attention in my high school years because of his excellent recording on the Decca gold label of sonatas by Padre Antonio Soler.
I still consider his interpretation of the Fandango as the best, tied with Rafael Puyana on Mercury.

I just discovered this performance on YouTube. The music is easy listening modern with jazz influences - Marvin does an excellent job. Well, worth listening to. It is a sign that Prof. Marvin was a finer and more versatile pianist than I previously thought.

He had a long career teaching at Syracuse University, and passed away fairly recently at age 96.
