No doubt more. There are a small number of masterpieces from de Falla - El Amor Brujo, The 3 Cornered Heat, Nights In The Gardens of Spain, 7 Popular Spanish Songs and the Harpsichord Concerto.

Master Pedro is quite fun. The early work La Vida Breve only gets an occasional listen. Then there are some songs and smaller pieces.

He lived to 69 but his mature works started in 1915 when he was almost 40. He composed into his 50s and then moved to Argentina and dried up apart from Atlantida, which was unfinished but has some nice moments.

I'm only familiar with the Noches. I grew up with Rubinstein and Del Pueyo. These days it's Perianes. He excels in Spanish music.

I think a recording of Atlantida was included in the EMI Matrix series, so it should be in my queue. i'll have to check whose perf it is...

Rafael Puyana in the 1960s was spectacular IMO.

Both of these recommended versions are played on a Pleyel instrument which is exactly the one Falla intended it for when he composed it for Wanda Landowska.

This piece was not intended for “authentic” harpsichords with no lute, nasal, or 16 foot stops.
