Bach: harpsichord concertos III (and I and II)
Franceso Corti, il pomo d'oro (PentaTone)

Very good performances again, lively, a joyful Bach.
Very good recordings as well. But the volume on disk is a little too high, resulting in some distortion. Weird.
These performances really replace my former preferred recordings by Pinnock, while Café Zimmermann was a very good 'second'.

During the last years several recordings of these harpsichord concertos by Bach have been made. One of those I've never heard: Bonizzoni with Risonanza on Challenge Classics. I don't know if they did a complete cycle. Did I miss an important one?

Screw Suitner... just cancelled the orders... Krips' Mozart is much more to my liking; Suitner is just too heavy in places... I like his phrasing and approach, but not his texture.

for Cosi I have Ivan Fischer, but who for Figaro...

In a way I feel similar about Vegh's mozart... as beautiful his phrasing is, the divertimenti etc they are just too heavy...

so both are no more any favourite conductors of mine...
