I'm a great fan of Seinfeld. He isn't funny in the traditional sense, but holds up a mirror. He illustrates how (in)difference (in many senses of the word) has become a 'sign of our times'.
In this episode, for example, Kramer's difference (a missing ribbon) costs him the trust of his fellow-activists and a few severe bumps and bruises. His friends don't help him, don't even feel sorry for him, but walk away - completely indifferent to the situation he is in.

I don't give a damn about US TV series - not the Sopranos, not Seinfeld and not any of the screen writers who vote for themselves.

If you want to see some brilliant contemporary screen writing, watch Killing Eve. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a breath of fresh air. Or going back a little, Yes Minister. The writing on that by Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn.was very funny and superbly witty.

I just looked Killing Eve up on imdb - sorry no, I'll rather pass and listen to music instead. I don't watch movies that much anymore tbh... I never liked watching series too much (except funny stuff like Simpsons or this and I guess some other stuff maybe...)
