> That's the first time I've listened to songs by Pfitzner. Love Margaret Mueller's claret velvet voice, and even more, I like the way she makes the poetry sound meaningful. Raucheisen seems to be inspired too, some very expressive piano playing there, especially at the end.

Erna Berger also recorded "Venus Mater" but I felt that her coloratura voice was not well suited that lied.
