The Australian Federal Government has no jurisdiction over local government.. Technically a local council can fly any flag it likes.

Meanwhile an American music critic called David Hurwitz has launched a vicious antisemitic attack on a British music critic called David Gutman. I await President Biden's reaction with interest.

Thanks for the clarification. Just to understand things
better, are you saying that if the state of Queensland
decided to adopt the pre-WWII German Nazi flag the
Federal Government would not be able to prevent it?

It would require a Federal law outlawing the use of NSDAP symbols throughout the country, with the consent of the State premiers, and, for all I know, a change to the Constitution. It would be like the Congress in Washington trying to ban the Confederate battle flag anywhere in the United States. Not that the two are equivalent of course.

The attacks made by Hurwitz and his acolytes - who generally have the Dude's venom without his intelligence - closely resemble anti-Semitic propaganda.. Did you know that the reason why Presto Music can sell recordings so cheaply is because they get enormous bribes from Chandos for plugging the Sinfonia of London's recordings, when clearly their conductor cannot read a score properly?
