In telegraph style:

1 Simplicity
2 Greater durability and convenience than vinyl (LPs)
3 Market incentive to make high-quality, properly documented recordings/transfers
4 No dependence from internet services (such as YouTube and Spotify)
Last but not least:
5 Visual aspect including being reminded of my favorite recordings whenever I look at my CD collection; the knowledge that I can listen to them whenever I want, without any commercial interruptions, and without any risk that they will be somehow 'deleted' for copyright-related reasons or without explanation
