I was just thinking about him this morning, must have been picking up things on the mental pathways. So so sad.

Since I recently went through a heavy health issue, which resulted in multiple hospitalizations and a major surgery, death has been heavy on my mind. I had stopped listening to music months ago and was just trying to live, haha, and my son asked me a few days ago why I wouldn't let Bob's music heal me and get me through this rough patch, as I had used him my whole life to sustain me. I really didn't have a good answer, so yesterday I picked up my cd player and opened myself up to not only Bob music, but all music. Which caused me to start thinking about various musicians, so this double death news is a very strong reminder that life is fleeting for all of us. Though not a Robbie fan, and I hadn't thought of Rodriguez in years, both influenced my life and I'm glad I was alive during their time of creativity.

The visiting nurse just left, said the 28 staple site, or what I call my Frankenstein look, is completely healed on the outside, but will take a few months to actually heal the internal stuff, and pay attention to the pain. The surgery site that they wanted to heal from the inside out still has a week or so to go before it's completely closed, but it looks great. So medically I'm doing just fine, but mentally, I'm still struggling with the whole new phase of my life situation. I had to give up the car, I have to be dependent on others (the hardest part), and my physical strength will take time to recover. I'm so impatient with life right now. So I've started looking at Christmas crafts to do, given up on my two gardens and will only plant flowers this fall and have learned that I can only do 15 minutes of physical work, like housekeeping, at a time. I have also had to learn to accept taking multiple naps during the day. The nurse laughed and said that was to be expected being neigh on 70, but I've never napped during the day before, so I find it odd.
I may pick up the pen and start writing again, something I gave up years ago, but golly gee I seem to have all this time on my hands. I'm sick of tv!!!!!
