For anybody who's interested, Medix went live today on Hasbro Pulse. He's a Walgreens exclusive, so quantities on Pulse will be limited:

I do like how they used the Crankcase body but the Crosscut head, just to mix things up a bit. Those look like Minerva's weapons, too, so it's like a mash-up of three different toys.

We've known about the existence of this toy for an entire year now (it leaked in early December 2022) so it's shocking that it took this long for it to make it to traditional sales channels.

It's the first one they've done that I have zero interest in. I feel like their focus is slipping, and that's rather sad.

But, at the same time, they probably recognized that they've done so many great G1 updates in recent years that there just aren't that many important characters left for them to do. They basically *had* to diversify, or else they'd be stuck doing all the forgotten nobody characters from G1. So, it's fine. I accept it. It's just super depressing that I already know what next year's line-up looks like, more or less, and there are only like six or seven toys from the entire assortment I'm even interested in.
