New details are popping up for some of the upcoming toys for 2024 and beyond.

We know that Project Rennaissance is, indeed, a Ninja Turtles mash-up, and the point-of-sale description reads as TRA GEN COLLAB PROJECT RENNAISSANCE TMNT PARTY WAGON. For those who may not know, the Party Wagon is a van-shaped vehicle with roof guns, so I'm kind of eager to see what kind of robot mode they manage to get out of it. Points if it looks like the robot turtle, Metalhead!

We now know the identities of the characters from the upcoming Mayhem Attack Squad two-packs:

TRA GEN MAYHEM VOY BLUDGEON & DLX RUCKUS
TRA GEN MAYHEM DLX CHOPSHOP & DLX BARRAGE
TRA GEN MAYHEM DLX KNOCKOUT & DLX WINDSWEEPER

I'll just throw out there once more than I'm anticipating Ruckus being a Beachcomber remold, though now I'm really hoping he doesn't have those rubber tires, because they're just about the most awful thing to come out of Legacy.

Chop Shop is almost certainly a Shrapnel redeco with a new head, which pretty much leaves Bombshell by default to get reused as Barrage. No idea how they'll address Venom. (I'm really glad I got my vintage Deluxe Insecticons when I did, because interest in them is going to jump up on the aftermarket with the release of the neo-G1 versions.)

Windsweeper is almost certainly a Needlenose redeco, given that Needlenose was already wearing Windsweeper's tail fins. I have no idea who Knockout is in this context. Another Decepticon character, certainly, but who?

Also, there's a huge list of leaked Studio Series toys solicited for 2025, and they are as follows:

TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY WFC IRONHIDE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY TFONE SENTINEL PRIME
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY WFC THUNDERCRACKER
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY 86 SCRAPPER

....Be still my beating heart! Ahem.

TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY 86 MIXMASTER
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR TF7 APELINQ
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR TF4 OPTIMUS PRIME
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR TF3 SHOCKWAVE PR
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR 86 GRIMLOCK PR

....Finally!

TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES A LEVEL DLX TFONE B-127
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES A LEVEL DEV OPTIMUS PRIME
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE TF7 DOUBLE PUNCH
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE TF3 HATCHET
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE MV6 BUMBLEBEE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE 86 PERCEPTOR PR
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE TFONE STARSCREAM
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE TF3 QUE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE 86 BONECRUSHER
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE 86 JAZZ PR
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE 86 SCAVENGER
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELUXE WFC AUTOBOT SOLDIER
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DELXUE TF4 WIDOW MAKER
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY WFC SKYWARP

It bothers me slightly that Bonecrusher and Scavenger are slated to be Deluxe-class toys while the other Constructicons are Voyagers, but I imagine it's got to do with making them the right size to be Devastator's arms. As long as they're reasonably the same size as each other in robot mode, I'm okay with the idea. (Also, just because some of them are Voyagers doesn't mean they're all going to be huge. We've become well accustomed by now to Deluxe-sized toys with Voyager-level engineering and pricing.)

No Hook or Long Haul listings yet, but I kind of wonder how big those toys are going to be. Something tells me Long Haul might end up being Leader-class.

But, I'm very excited about the notion of Studio Series '86 Constructicons. Five of the Combiner Wars toys from 2015 were damn good, the Unite Warrior versions were even better, and also Mixmaster existed. But a stronger fidelity to their cartoon looks, and presumably more G1-accurate vehicles, means I will happily buy those characters all over again, a decade later.

Zob (any guesses as to whether Devastator will be shorter or taller than the Combiner Wars version...?)

That could be exciting.

I wonder if Bludgeon is just Legacy Bludgeon with some deco changes, or whether this is a different toy, trying to get a more realistic tank mode. I guess it could be the return of the Siege Megatron mold.

I expect Knockout to be Prime Universe Knockout.

This may not be the most imaginative capsule line.

Given what a fiasco the ROTB toyline was from.a distribution perspective, a remold of the Studio Series Primal could be very welcome.

A LEVEL? What is that?

I guess they have to get all three out, even if the mold looks terrible…

I just want a G2 box set. Orange or Yellow, don’t care. Something fun and all in one package. I never found the last of the Studio Series ROTF Devastator components on his own, and ended up buying the gift set. And then leaving it by front door in its unopened box, and then the cat decided she likes to perch there and it became a cat tree. She’s sitting on it right now,

I wonder how much it sells on eBay for?

Smaller. Combiner Wars Devastator parts were huge,
