No, they haven't acknowledged "detaining the soldier" and there is no evidence they have.

It's just western propaganda to suggest King is being "detained", held against his will, when he entered North Korea of his own volition.

It's laughable to hear Americans talk of desperately trying to secure his release when there's no sign he wants to leave North Korea.
