Call made to Scots to 'adopt' a classic red phone box

Communities across Scotland are being urged to preserve a piece of
history by adopting and adapting a traditional red phone box.

A new scheme offers the chance to take on one of 162 red boxes for £1 each.

I presume there will be a requirement to not move them.

Ours in the village is used to house a defibrillator.

I'm always surprised that this phone box has survived
https://goo.gl/maps/uLYgThe4d4BN5Ar56 - on a very quiet, mostly single-track
road with a hamlet of two farms and about 10 houses. I'd expect everyone to
have a landline (and probably carry a mobile) by now.

I remember many times using this phone in the 1970s and 80s before our
holiday cottage in the village got a landline.

It would be interesting to know how many calls each year have been made from
or received by this phone.
