New Mexico Governor Bans Open and Concealed Carry of Firearms for 30 Days
After Child Is Shot Dead

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has announced a new public health order
prohibiting people from carrying firearms — openly or concealed — in
Albuquerque and in the surrounding county for the next 30 days.

The Democratic governor announced suspension of the current law in the
wake of the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old boy, who was killed Wednesday
near the Isotopes' baseball park in Albuquerque in what police said
appeared to be a case of road rage.
