There wouldn't have been anything to respond to if the virus hadn't been
released or having been released there had been a better initial response.

Trump wouldn't be qualified to be responsible for the response anyway, he
will have had to act under advisement. I'm not sure if there's a point
when he didn't do that. I expect he was accused of it quite often, but
the US political system is advesarial, there are going to be such
accusations.

Okay; those 300,000 deaths, ultimately over a million and still rising, are the responsibility of someone other than Trump who was President at the time.

Perhaps someone should tell us who is responsible for those deaths and also let us know when "the buck stops here" stopped applying.
