It's hard to say what the true situation is as the official government figures are being fiddled again.

That deaths are almost 50% up on last week suggests what the real trend is, what they are trying to hide; that "living with covid means dying of covid".

Deaths are rising even faster in America. It appears impossible to deny we are riding a new wave.
