Remarks
-------
A very dull and exceptionally wet month with below average temperatures. The
rainfall total for the month (202.3 mm) was 245% of the 1991-2020 July average
It was the wettest July here in my record which goes back to 1991. The previous
highest was 170.3 mm in July 2013. The total for July this year was therefore
19% higher than that previous highest. Although July 2023 was dull and rather
cool, there have been other years when July was duller and cooler. It was the
rainfall that was the really notable feature in July this year.
