2nd only to March 2016 at the height of the last big El Niño (by just 0.1C). It was the warmest August in the UAH record by a wide margin. Be interesting to see what Spencer says. Last month he tried to pass off July's warmth as 'Something unusual is going on'.

I suppose it couldn't be Anthropogenic Global Warning, that almost everyone else in science understands is the underlying cause of these exceptional global temperatures, could it Roy?
