Worth watching, there's a couple of date records Sat/Sun that look vulnerable in this plume.

In the past, conditions had to be absolutely exceptional to set such records - like they were in Oct 1921 when these records were set, but now there are date records and temperature records set all around the world with alarming regularity. And so few cold records. And that's the future with AGW.

On the other hand, NHC had named TS Rina to propel things this way, but
has now demoted it

The length of that hot spell in 1921 is very striking, with it holding
or sharing the record for 9 of the first 10 days. And of course that was
following an exceptionally warm summer.

That's convenient for me, as I have my annual flu jab late on Saturday
morning, and my medical practice has asked attendees to wear
short-sleeved tops to speed up throughput. Which is all very well for
those arriving by car, but for pedestrians like myself it wouldn't have
been too good if it was a chilly morning. As it is, I'm thinking of
wearing a thin woolly where I can easily roll up the sleeves.
