Brussels on Wednesday 7th February 2024

Very wet in the latter part of the night with prolonged moderate to heavy rain as the cold front approached. Front arrived between 06.00 and 07.00 local time, with a sharp fall in temperature and an abrupt veer in the wind from SW to N.

Overcast and rather cold during the day: temperature around 4°C. Fairly persistent but mostly light rain until just after midday; occasional slight rain and drizzle this afternoon, but dry this evening. Very windy overnight, with the fresh SW wind still gusting over 60 km/hr at Uccle. Fairly light wind in the colder air: NE and then ENE this morning, E this afternoon, but ENE again this evening.
