Asked about an important palestinian in history, they invariably come up
with yassar arafat. Pressed, they come up with someone no one has ever
heard of.
Asked about ancient times, they all draw a blank and say they don't
teach that in schools.

The implications are obvious - No history, no state. How can they
possibly claim a rich history stretching back to biblical times without
being able to name a single leader or even a person of note before the
1970's ?

history, arafat, was born in Egypt.
