America and the UK are in the grip of another winter wave of covid. Though our deaths fell last week, we are still seeing a quarter of deaths in America with its population six times the size of ours.

London and the South East have been particularly badly hit with new cases. The recent surge in London is spreading throughout the country. There seems to at least be one advantage to the East of England's lack of rail connectivity but I am sure they will catch up soon.

And let's remember that UK cases are massively under reported.
