Apparently she's been in post for a year. Which is new for the
Telegraph. But apart from interring underpants its not clear how many of
her storylines have anything to do with farming or the countryside.

She's been on Farming Today and other agriculturally oriented programmes for quite some time and if she's absorbed half as much countryside information during those stints as she absorbed cricketing knowledge and trivia during her time as (the BBC's first female?) cricket commentator on R5L she's pretty good.

(Warning! I'm relying on memory for the next bit so, based on my earlier performance this week, fact-checking is advisable!)

I first came across Sybil Ruscoe when she was on R5L and I was a refugee from R4 The Afternoon Shift back in the 90s. I'm almost ashamed to admit this, given the amount of opposition it generated at the time but I actually LIKED Gerry Anderson's, Anderson Country but couldn't stick with its replacement. I found Sybil Ruscoe's a very pleasant voice to listen to during those afternoons before Radio 4 came back to its senses.

Isn't it what used to be called "agricultural story advisor", or
something like that? I remember noticing a change in the spoken credits,
sometime in the last year I think, and commenting on it (though it might
have been while I was only on Twitter).

I think you might have already answered that question! If you click on the link in your message to archive.ph it will take you directly to the home page where it explains what it does. Essentially, you copy-and-paste a link to the page you want to archive into the search box on the home page. If someone else has archived that page before you then you will be presented with the previous effort (if the page has changed in the meantime you can archive a fresh copy) if you are the first to ask for that page it will archive it while-you-wait.

Incidentally, there are other TLDs for the archive site so if .ph is busy, try .today or one of the others.
