Cheers! I only discovered Astrid quite recently and it somewhat
fills the gap left by Inspector Montalbano, better than Brokenwood
with its rather trite scripts does anyhow.

I've watched by "cough" other means and still think it's great but after
the first series they got into the rapid dialogue that US series seem to
use.

This is fine if French is your first language but as a non speaker I
sometimes ran out of time to read the subtitles.

I always record it. If I miss something I just replay it, if necessary
in slo-mo to read everything in the subtitles (one of my dislikes of
streaming - there is no slo-mo, although it is possible to pause the
stream).

I see that the producers have started to lengthen each episode to 75
minutes. This extra time appears to have nothing to do with the
increasing bizarre crimes, but is spent on Astrid's neurodivergence. To
my mind, Sara Mortensen's acting is nothing short of award standard in
this series, and she is ably supported by Lola Dewaere. I hope that
More4 shows Series 4, which is already being shown on French TV.

Looks to me as though "Alexandra Ehle" is a sort of French "Silent
Witness", but I can't see it being shown in the UK.

Cough, and is available by other means, should you wish to search.

The subs can be a bit weird in places but fine if you speak French,
which I don't.
