Out riding my bicycle in the countryside.

It just popped into my head

"Hit me with your rhythm stick"

This was closely followed by "Wo' a waste" and other such classics.

I miss Ian Dury.

So do I - he was almost a neighbour of mine - never knew him though. He
took his name from the estate where he lived - Dury Falls[1] (So was W
Heath-Robinson, a brigadier in MI# whose name I don't goove I'm allowed
to mention, Jimmy Greaves, Kenny Ball, a couple of notorious crooks and
others whom I've forgotten.)

[1] I presume Dury Falls must have been the rapids on the mighty River
Ingrebourne between Hornchurch and Upminster. So mighty indeed, that
rather than use water power, they built a windmill quite close.
