Top tip: don't wear flip flops when using a core drill. As demonstrated
by the father-in-law's neighbour a couple of weeks back who just about
avoided cutting his big toe completely off. Down to the bone through the
nail though.

I never thought paying for protected NCD was worth it, as they'd just
end up loading your premium more. I guess I've saved more by not paying
for protection for umpteen years than I've lost by making this one
claim; best not make a habit of it.

I also didn't realise that I'd still have three years NCD remaining
after making a claim.

Last year's premium was about £140, then £135 to move the policy to the
new bike. (I thought a total loss due to theft would end the policy, but
apparently not.)

This year's "renewal invitation" is £600, first search got that down to
under £450. It's only money.

My first premium (TPO) on my 350 Matchless chairlot was 30s - it doubled
to £3 when I went solo with it.

I never claimed on my motorcycle insurance, so I always had a healthy
NCB, which helped with the Clubman's Venom.

I dunno - No idea what grindr is/was, though ISTR some varient of it was
connected to LBGTmaybeotherinitials of which far too much is made - R4
has its head where the sun don't shine looking for it all the time.

Don't get me wrong: one of my best friends is in that cohort. We don't
discuss it. Music and hi-fi, yes; politics, yes; theatre, yes;
education, yes; motorcycles, no.

He was a friend at college, and as I gradually fell in, I saw no reason
to let it interrupt our bridge, mah jongg, beer, etc.
