One of those times you really miss that TOG, and his knowledge of the second hand market. I’ve been trying to flog my 2015 Ducati Scrambler for a while, so far not a nibble. That means I’ve got the price wrong but looking on line reveals asking prices for similar bikes varying wildly by thousands.

So anyway, 2015 scrambler classic for sale, 14,400 miles, just serviced and mot. Looking for about 4.5. It’s in that Somerset if anyone’s interested

Nothing is selling at the moment and anything that does sell is going
stupidly cheap.
All due to the currant shortage of cash, inflation etc.
I am hanging on to stuff I have queued up for ebay, it will take
6 months to a year to get back to anything approaching normal.

Just hang on to it for the duration unless you REALLY need the cash.

What do you base the 6 months to a year on, the general economy or something else?

If it's the economy I suspect we're in for a continuation of stagnation for at least three years if not a decade.

Just semi-informed guesswork.
Inflation figuers, frinstance, are based on the one year change and are
already falling so the numbers should be down to near zero in under a year.
This does not, of course, mean that prices will have fallen much but
wages will be catching up.

The real question is when will the average punter have enough free cash
to spend on boys toys.

The reason I'm trying to flog the Guzzi is more to do with space, tbh.
I did find the footpeg position to be rather cramped last time I rode
it any distance, and it's not something that's easily fixed.

I don’t commute or do distances any more so I just don’t need the Ducati anymore and it’s a pricey thing to maintain. The Norton (one I sold to WUN a decade or so back and am now buying back) plus the other 4 SoBs in the garage will cover most of my motorcycling requirements

It's a really niche product and I only saw them in central London, with a significant Belstaff wearing overlap. Perhaps they will also be popular in Bath and Bristol ;o)

Reminiscent of Multistrada, for which there are ~6 bikes for any buyers
