I had to parse that a couple of times! Hmm, I think requiring someone to
be unhinged to be a valid source is more a British sort of thing.

Sorry to hear that. Is it possible that you have JavaScript and/or
other browser features switched off? I'm fairly sure archive.today
uses JavaScript to deliver its results.

FWIW I keep JavaScript permanantly turned off on one of my chromium
browsers (why chromium - because it's the easiest one (for me) to turn
back on again if I want to) because some websites become much less
annoying that way.

I don't know if java is on or off on this notebook, but would expect it to
be on. I think part of the problem may have been the 'I'm not a robot' test
which involved motorbikes. I didn't feel the helmets of the riders were
part of the machine...

Anyway, Iain Archer kindly sent me a copy of the article :)

But the robot running that test knows better.

For those of us of little brain - how do you do that? (Only if it's
easy.)

I have an add-on (The Great Suspender Original) that stops tabs I'm not
actually looking at running anything, which I think keeps activity down.
