At the moment, I generally use Google Podcasts for listening to assorted
podcasts from a number of sources. This is due to be axed shortly so I
was wondering if umrats had any suggestions for podcast apps that they'd
recommend - or ones they'd advise me to avoid. I'd want to be able to
listen to stuff on both my Windoze PC and my Android phone / tablet.

I use Overcast and like it a lot. Not sure, but I think it might be phone-only.

Thanks, but so far as I can see that's purely for Apple, maybe even only
for Apple watches.

Thanks. That reminded me that I didn't necessarily need a specific
podcast app and further investigation has proved that Audible, which I
use far more than Spotify, also carries a fair range, including most of
the ones I like - including Rory and Alistair.

I use Downcast which I find excellent. I've no idea if it's Apple only
though. I paid for it but it was very cheap (£5ish?).
