Is there a gadget to trickle charge an iPhone using a portable solar panel?

Hundreds. Look up 'solar phone charger' or 'solar power bank' in your
favourite online tat bazaar.

You'd need to do the numbers about how much energy you get from the panel
size. Many of the powerbanks charge their own battery from the panels and
then transfer that charge to a phone when plugged in. Means you can leave
them at your campsite/etc during the day and then recharge phone at night.
