In the past year how I listen to music has changed and I think I'm ready to
embrace the world of Apple Music subscription fully. I've lifted my heels out
of the mud!

I've always found the process somewhat opaque. Is there a simple guide to
exactly how it works and at what point purchased music ceases to be part of
the library?

I know what you lot are like :-) let's not get into a debate about the rights
and wrongs of the approach...

I don't have purchased music but Apple music is dead easy. Just sign up,
answer questions about musical preferences (or not they aren't obligatory)
and then you have the whole catalogue available to you.

You can add songs or albums to your Library as much as you like.
