Curiosity piqued, I discovered (with some difficulty, and using FindAnyFile)
that I had been updated at 07:57 today, i.e. about the time I woke the iMac
up.

I also found that it has been updated at irregular intervals thirteen times in
the last twelve months. So what is the big deal about this one, and why do we
need to know?

Old John.

We don't, is the short answer. The poster is well-known and has a bee in his
bonnet about viruses on macOS. Your kill-file is your next port of call.

Actually, no, it doesn't - not on my iMac running Ventura.
It reports updates to BaseCamp, BBEdit, Canon Easy-PhotoPrint Editor and
several to Canon IJ PrinterDriver and that's it. I already went there before I
tried FindAnyFile.

I have NO, repeat NO, intention of installing anti malware software on my
iMac.

It's OK, I know all about David's hobby horse, and the reason he rides it. Get
him off it and he's quite a reasonable person.

He used to be much worse, but he's learning not to ride it on ucsm, where it
is definitely NOT welcome. This was just a slip-up on his part.

Oops! It IS there. I didn't realise, that soon after getting up, that you need
to scroll down past hundreds of other entries to get to it.

My bad.
