Why do so many calls these days exhibit these problems.
The latency of feed back of your own voice makes you sound pissed, and when
its a discernable echo, it mucks up conversations, yet you might be in
Surrey and the other person in Manchester, hardly going to the moon and
back, is it?

I experienced that with cell phones, but with fixed line calls, even
when they use VoIP.

I got a terrible echo calling from my landline on Virgin copper to a voip
over Community cable yesterday. I could hear my words being repeated. The
delay was more than a second. It made having a conversation very hard.
Goodness knows why this should happen between two parts of SW London.
