would never use upper-case letters to start his sentences.

Can anybody remember him? Or knows what happened to him?

against the Apple Trolls in misc.phone.mobile.iphone.

Good ol' nospam! I miss him! Seems [seemed? :-( ] like a through and through
computer scientist: I (an Arts graduate) used to work in a Computing Science
department: I was dismayed, shocked, affronted by the curt answers from
further-out CS people, when I asked a "dumb" question; they always seemed to
have the unspoken closing words "..., of course, stupid!" Eventually I
realised they were talking like the machines they [nearly] were. And that they
were really jolly nice people. :-)

He also posted to some of the Windows groups and again not seen for several
months. Incidentally I haven’t seen anything from Basil Jet for ages. I
wonder if he’s OK too?

the last of his posts that’s visible to me was on 20 Sept 23. On a thread
xposted by everyone’s fav anti-Apple troll, Arlen the nymchanger, to
misc.phone.mobile.iphone,comp.mobile.ipad, and comp.sys.mac.advocacy with the
subject "Fix the Most Annoying iOS 17 Features”.

Arlen was not able to point out any annoying iOS 17 features which needed
fixing. This did not prevent him from yapping, at length. I have had the Hog
flag his assorted nyms with colour and simply skip past posts in that colour.

Programming is an unnatural act.
