Has anyone noticed that since the event yesterday apart from BBC radio
transmitting the same programme on R2 and R4 for example there has been
no EON traffic announcements?

Drove from N Yorks today to Peterbro and not a single peep.

Anyone any ideas why>

A lot of programmes on local radio have been nationally generated for some
reason that eludes me, as you say, so much is out there to broadcast
nationally why clobber local radio. I'd bet that the feed is the key here,
if its say radio 5 live maybe it does not cater for the data being inserted
locally the way other stations do?

The rules for the death of the Monarch are held in what I think is
called the Blue Book and is retained in the (Transmission?) Manager's
office safe at BH. It is there that it says all radio channels will join
R4 and all TV channels will join BBC1. I wonder if it has been updated
to include local radio?

Doesn't 'all radio channels' include BBC local radio?

Anyway, what happened to the exhortation to "Keep calm, and carry on"?
Surely, unless certain events and broadcasts are obviously totally
inappropriate in the circumstances, is that not what we should be doing?
