Since we already hav a Ruby and a Mick, if that's thingie's bf with
the hot tub, it seems unnecessary to re-use the names. There are
enough nuggering names out there to use new ones. I shall think of
the Lady Major as Imogen and her partner as Gidion.

Where _is_ the nearest army barracks - or similar - to Ambridge? (And
RAF base for that matter? I realise navy is unlikely.) The only military
person I can think of is umbrella's son umbrella, who visits
occasionally. (I mean serving; I imagine many - perhaps the prof. for
example? - served in the past. Or not - I'm getting old, and forgetting
that most who served are probably dead by now.)
