I'm not usually a fan of Gregg Wallace[1] but I did enjoy his performance in
"The British Miracle Meat" on the wwp last night. I commend the progamme to
ye shedde.

[1]Uusually he spends far to much time gurning into the camera for my
liking.

I took two minutes into the programme, felt quickly queasy about the
topic (human meat) and abandoned the viewing, to continue swallowing my
dinner (non-human meat) with enjoyment.

(hmmm. in the future from another planet we may get 'alien meat' - will
that taste like chicken?)

Just as well you stopped watching, then, because later on it discussed
farming children. Their meat tastes so much better, we were told.

Green but for me it was more reminiscent of that Ishiguro one (Never let me
go? - but that was for body parts rather than meat.)

I haven't got one - idiot's lantern,that is. Got one inthe 1960s or 70s
'cos a grillfiend kept going home for her soaps.

When she went, so did the lantern.

Ah, that explains all the whooshing. I find that the WWP is a good way of
keeping up with scientific progress, which I want to do. I particularly
enjoy "Science View", which is a programme on Japanese TV[1], very simlar to
the old "Tomorrow's World" on the BBC. Also, nature programms are, IMHO,
better with pictures.

[1]I have blind bambi why we get Japanese TV in our Undefiled Meja
subscription, but I'm not complaining. The presenters present in English and
the contributers get subtitled.

I was hoping that was Rishi.

I found the whole factory programme series accepting and uncritical. You
would think that every one of the programmes was about the best thing
since sliced bread. Improving on sliced bread is not difficult.

We did not have a lantern at that time. We did not eat spaghetti in
those days, however my father had served in Italy during the Late
Unpleasantness. The following day, when he heard about it at work, he
could hardly himself.

I am still surprised, given the numbers who had served in Italy, that so
many British people fell for it.

Do the factories pay or is it free advertising?
I believe the vegan sausage factory closed soon after his visit.

The advert on the bottom left of 'The San Serif Sun' was a give away:
'The Great Gossard Cover Up'.

OTH I have been caught out by stories published on 1 April which were
