I bought a couple of Blueberry bushes from the garden centre. They are
in small 4" pots and with roots appearing from the bottom need
repotting. BUT as they are also in flower, should I wait until the
autumn to repot, or would it be better to do it now. They will be going
into very much larger pots.

In general, it's not a good idea to repot a plant into very much larger
pots, as the plant will not be making use of the new compost for quite
some time (search on "overpotting").

You can transplant into a larger pot without disturbing the roots too
much. Firstly, make sure the blueberry is well watered. Then half-fill
the new pot with compost, and put the blueberry still in its pot on top
of the compost. Then add compost to the top of of the blueberry pot, and
gently firm it. Now remove the blueberry (still in its pot) and gently
tap its pot to remove it from the pot without disturbing the compost.
Carefully put the blueberry in the hole left after removing its old pot.
Water well and leave to settle in.

All of what Jeff said, plus make sure you use an ericaceous compost.

Gardening in West Cornwall, very mild, sheltered
from the West, but open to the North and East.
