Incompetence on the part of the chav-cycle supplier.

I could order a £4000 musical instrument from thomann.de and have it
delivered to the UK with just the UK rate of VAT added, plus the obvious
charge for shipping and insurance.

But Thomann are professionals. The companies dealing with dodgy
chav-cycle spares are obviously not.

I recently transported an expensive musical instrument to a relative in
the USA and wasn't even asked for a declaration at USA Border Control.
But not being a chav like you, I, of course, made a declaration unbidden
and got the issue of American customs duty and local taxes - $NIL in
this case because of the circumstances - sorted out.

Chavs are always looking for a dodgy back of the lorry "bargain",
though. Aren't you?

Isn’t it strange, therefore, that businesses in the EU, seem to be far less
affected by exactly the same set of rules?

There is a manufacturer of bicycles in Germany that exports to the UK
without problems, and even manages to sell their machines here at
pre-Brexit prices!

Now, as the arrangements are the same for both sides, why is it that the UK
businesses are snivelling and whining and going bust, while the EU get on
with things?
