You don't always have that option. If your chariot is
very old, no one is making parts, or if like a colleague of mine,
you have a very new car, parts are not yet in the distribution
chain, in that case he had to track down a written off car that
had the parts he needed.

Update. New Fiat master cylinder fitted. Car road tested. Ready for
pick-up. Promble is I'm not well enough to do so yet. Cost? About £440.
And I think he only charged me about £60 labour.

Hopefully the car will now see me through the rest of my driving time.

Our vehicle is now 6 years old. It's still on the original tyres.
We don't do much mileage (did I need to say that?).
